- Book Swap Campaign
On 9-10 December 2009 Norcous Academia organised a Book Swap campaign for law students of Vilnius and Mykolas Romeris universities. Students had a chance to swap their unnecessary books to new, unread books, brought to the Project by other students, lecturers, lawyers. Hereby on the occasion of upcoming fests Norcous Academia gave an opportunity to present a book for ones colleagues and also to receive a relevant gift themselves.
By organizing such project as Book Swap Raidla Lejins & Norcous project Norcous Academia aims at creating high quality environment for self-development of young lawyers.

- National Award of Advancement 2009 Laureates Announced
On 6 December during a solemn ceremony the laureates of the National Award of Advancement 2009 were awarded. You may find more information on the awards here >>
The National Award of Advancement was established on 2 March 2006 by signing the Advancement Manifest. Raidla Lejins & Norcous has been a partner of the unique project initiated by business and research institutions for four years already. The purpose of this unique project is to honour the most prominent Lithuanian people who contribute to Lithuania‘s progress as well as to shape public opinion on science and culture as objects deserving respect and public attention.

- NasdaqOmx Baltic Securities Market Overview 2009/2010 Launched
NasdaqOmx has launched their annual overview on Baltic securities market. The overview provides an insight to the market situation, investment possibilities and main developments, trading statistics and companies listed on the Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn exchange.
Traditionally, the taxation overview in respective Baltic jurisdictions is prepared by Raidla Lejins & Norcous firms in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

- Roundtable Discussion How to Save Profit Tax through Efficient Use of R&D Tax Exemption?
On 17 November Raidla Lejins & Norcous together with UAB Merits held a roundtable discussion on efficient and least risky reduction of profit tax. The purpose of the discussion was to introduce to business representatives a profit tax exemption according to which R&D costs may be deducted from the company’s revenue three times. Thanks to this tax benefit the companies may additionally save up to 40% of R&D costs. Raidla Lejins & Norcous’ Partner Žilvinas Kvietkus, UAB Merits’ Partner Andrius Kavoliūnas, VšĮ Saulėtekio Slėnis’ Director Andrius Bagdonas, and a representative of the State Tax Inspectorate Rolandas Ragėnas participated in the discussion.
