  • Secondment to Roschier
    Our lawyer Julija Lisovskaja, who specializes in employment law, was seconded to the leading Finnish firm Roschier for a 1,5-month training.
    As of 2004 through Nordic-Baltic alliance RoschierRaidla, Raidla Lejins & Norcous in Lithuania Latvia and Estonia maintain close cooperation with Roschier, a leading Northern European law firm with offices in Finland and Sweden.
  • Conference on Climate Change Management Policy
    On 6 November, Raidla Lejins & Norcous’ Managing Partner Irmantas Norkus delivered a presentation Legal Aspects of Emission Trading at the international conference hosted by the Ministry of Environment. The conference focused on global climate change management policies, measures, business perspectives and investment opportunities in developing the country’s sustainable economy with low GHG emissions.
    The conference was participated by executive officers of Lithuania enterprises, academic society and lawyers, representatives of foreign companies, banks and embassies. According to Advisor to the Minister of Environment Laura Dzelzytė, who initiated and coordinated the conference, the conference aimed at calling together the experts of climate change management and professionals in law, finance and environmental protection.   • New Books – Norcous Academia’s Gift for Vilnius University Law Students
Vilnius University Saulėtekis Information Centre’s library received legal literature from Raidla Lejins & Norcous. This gift will supplement the Shelf of Legal Literature that Norcous Academia established at the beginning of 2009. In a special orange shelf, law students now may find almost 30 new books on company law, jurisprudence, penal, international, tax and family law.

‘By presenting specialised legal literature to this library we aim at creating high quality environment for self-development of young lawyers. By supporting the library and implementing other academic projects we seek that economic stagnation does not undermine the quality of education and young lawyers’ self-development’, Irmantas Norkus, Managing Partner of Raidla Lejins & Norcous, shares his thoughts.

  • Attorney Gediminas Saudargas Became Certified Trustee in Bankruptcy
    Raidla Lejins & Norcous’ attorney Gediminas Saudargas has become a certified trustee in bankruptcy. As per requirements approved by the Executive Order of the Minister of Economy, a person willing to become a trustee in bankruptcy has to pass qualification exams and meet certain requirements, e.g. be of irreproachable reputation, have higher economic or legal education, etc.
    Raidla Lejins & Norcous in conjunction with the leading Finnish and Swedish law firm Roschier provide complex bankruptcy and restructuring services in five jurisdictions – the Baltics, Finland and Sweden.

  • Survey: Restructuring of Lithuanian Enterprises during Economic Crisis
Raidla Lejins & Norcous together with Evli, an investment bank operating in Baltic and Nordic countries, conducted a survey on restructuring of enterprises during crisis. Survey respondents were heads and representatives of Lithuania based enterprises of different industries. The purpose of the survey was to find out how and by what means the enterprises are adjusting their business during crisis.

  • Mentoring Project for Young Lawyers
    Raidla Lejins & Norcous takes part in Mykolas Romeris University‘s Alumni Association project Mentoring for Young Lawyers. This is an informal training project for young lawyers. During six months law students will have an opportunity to learn from expert lawyers – their personal mentors. Alongside with Raidla Lejins & Norcous’ lawyers, mentor assistance will also be provided by the Minister of Justice R. Šimašius, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania V. Valančius, the President of the Council of the Lithuanian Bar Association L.V. Papirtis, the President of the Supreme Court of Lithuania A. Norkūnas, members of the Parlament of the Republic of Lithuania J. Sabatauskas, M. Varaška and other well known lawyers of Lithuania.

    By joining this project Raidla Lejins & Norcous aims to give young lawyers and those who think of the lawyer’s career a better knowledge of the lawyer’s profession, also to provide helpful legal information and expand young students’ horizons.
