  • Acquisition of UAB Baltų Lankų Knygynas
    We advised a leading Lithuanian publishing house UAB Alma Littera in connection with the acquisition of 100 per cent of shareholding in a competitor UAB Baltų Lankų Knygynas. Our responsibilities included transaction structuring, extensive legal due diligence of the target, preparation and negotiation of all transaction documents, merger clearance. The project was led by partner Elijus Burgis and senior associate Akvilė Bosaitė.
  • Conferences and Seminars
    On 6 October, Raidla Lejins & Norcous held a conference Effective Dispute Resolution in Public Procurement, which called a particular attention among participants. Presentations were delivered by Jolita Rima Puškorienė, Head of Prevention and Control Unit of Public Procurement Office, officers of the Supreme Court of Lithuania and Law Department of Lithuanian Armed Forces. Dispute resolution procedures in public procurement were overviewed by lawyers of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Raidla Lejins & Norcous.

    On 14 October, Raidla Lejins & Norcous’ lawyers Dr. Rimantas Simaitis, Dr. Paulius Markovas and Marius Inta will deliver presentations in a seminar Bankruptcy or Restructuring? Legal and Practical Aspects organised in cooperation with Ekspozona.

  • Roundtable Discussion - Liberalization of Labour Relations: Benefits to Business of New Labour Code Amendments
    On 22 September, Raidla Lejins & Norcous hosted a roundtable discussion on Labour Code amendments for business companies’ HR managers. Presentations were delivered by Raidla Lejins & Norcous partner Žilvinas Kvietkus, associate Julija Lisovskaja, and Giedrius Kadziauskas, Vice-president of Lithuanian Free Market Institute. The discussion focused on recent Labour Code amendments, practical applications to business and further possibilities on liberalization of labour relations.
  • 3rd RoschierRaidla BALTIC BUSINESS LAW CONFERENCE Held in Riga
    On 17 September, the third Baltic Business Law Conference organized by Raidla Lejins & Norcous was held in Riga. The conference titled “Risks, problems, opportunities and challenges that businesses face in the times of economic turbulence – lessons learned and a way forward” analysed the scenarios of economic development and provided an insight into different spheres.

    The Baltic Business Law Conference is an annual event organized each year in one of the Baltic countries with the aim to ensure public discussion on current legal and practical business and investment issues. This year’s conference was devoted to business problems in the times of economic turbulence, the lessons to be learned and future opportunities. A presentation was delivered by Raidla Lejins & Norcous lawyer Asta Karpavičiūtė.

  • Acquisition of UAB Vėjo Vatas
    We have been engaged by UAB Vėjo Gūsis, a prominent and innovative wind energy business, as its legal advisor in expanding its capacity by acquiring additional wind energy development project UAB Vėjo Vatas. It was a highly complex deal including purchase of shares, refinancing of all shareholder loans and transfer of wind energy supply quota to a new territory. Lawyers of Raidla Lejins & Norcous have led the due diligence process, carried on a legal evaluation of the territory planning documents, as well as prepared and negotiated the whole package of transaction documentation. The project was led by partner Elijus Burgis and senior associate Akvilė Bosaitė.
  • Raidla Lejins & Norcous - Partner of the Conference Organized by Daily Verslo Žinios
    On September 15, in Reval Hotel Lietuva Conference Hall, daily Verslo Žinios together with Raidla Lejins & Norcous, OVC Consulting and Association of Human Resources Professionals held the conference How the Steel Is Tempered: Resolute Decisions of Leaders. Our Law Offices’ Managing Partner Dr. Irmantas Norkus presented and moderated one section of the conference where presentation was delivered by Thomas Bienias, MOOG Ethox International Site Director. We are happy that the conference was a great success and received appreciation from participants.

  • Acquisition of UAB Vėjo Gūsis
    We provided legal assistance to an investor in acquiring 100 percent interest in UAB Vėjo Gūsis, a company engaged in construction and operation of wind power plants, and in taking over the loans granted by the shareholder. We assisted with structuring the transaction, legal due diligence of the company, drafting of transaction documents, and negotiations with the seller. We continue rendering legal assistance to UAB Vėjo Gūsis in developing a park of wind power plants after the acquisition.
  • Sale of Leading Agricultural Company
    Raidla Lejins & Norcous represented sellers in the sale of control interest in ŽŪB Draugas, a leading agricultural company in Lithuania. We rendered assistance in selecting the transaction structure, drafting transaction documents, negotiating with the investor, and other transaction related legal consultations. The project was headed by Managing Partner Irmantas Norkus.
