Idea

“In designing the interior we tried to reflect the context and the time – the subtle though also rational interior is orientated to young busy people who value a combination of aesthetics and functionality. Warm materials and clear forms allude to Scandinavia and its laconic style: the main interior accents are put in the front office area available to visitors where conference halls are set as functional islands in a white space, their soft shapes form the micro-urbanistics of interior. Openwork furniture-like constructions create an intrigue of manifoldness while moderate colours and sharp geometrics refer to the idea of stability and respectability,” says Rytis Mikulionis, the architect of Plazma studio, who designed the interior of the office.

The interior of Raidla Lejins & Norcous offices has been named an Interior of the Year 2009 award winner in the Best Office Interior category. The interior projects submitted for the contest were assessed by the international committee of design professionals from Germany, Hungary and Latvia. The interior of our office was also acknowledged as the best interior of the year by the Architects Association of Lithuania in the contest "Auksine palete" (Golden Palette).
