Round-Table Discussions

In Round-Table Discussions Discussed Urgent Problems

Law Offices Raidla Lejins & Norcous, having consolidated its competence in the areas of energy, public procurement and insurance law, held round-table discussions to its clients to consider the most urgent problems in these areas and possible ways of solution.

In May and June RLN clients were offered three discussions. One of them dealt with the problem of choosing an independent electricity supplier, which is currently relevant to large electricity consumers, and overviewed material conditions of electricity supply agreements.

Discussions with representatives of insurance companies focused on the issues related to bankruptcy of policyholders and reviewed EU and Lithuanian legislation as to the measures to protect the interests of insurance companies when their clients become insolvent or go bankrupt.

Contracting entities were invited to a discussion on the issues related to public procurement: proper filing of claims, peculiarities of litigation, application of provisional remedies, a low-price problem, etc.

Participants of the discussions were offered an opportunity to get acquainted and directly communicate with the leaders of the newly formed practice groups and sub-groups within Raidla Lejins & Norcous: Managing Associate Mindaugas Jablonskis, head of the energy practice group at RLN, expert in regulated markets; Managing Associate Jolita Rima Puškorienė, forming the public procurement sub-group at RLN; and Senior Associate Marius Inta, head of RLN’s insurance disputes resolution sub-group.
